This answers the most common questions about pricing, turnaround time, and how drop-off & appointments work.


Pricing Overview

Alteration pricing varies based on garment type, fabric, lining, construction, and complexity. The amounts below are starting rates. Final pricing is confirmed after the garment is reviewed.

Common starting rates

  • Dress / Pants / skirt hems — starting at $35
  • Dress & Top fit adjustments — starting at $45
  • Zipper replacement — starting at $45
  • Pattern sewing projects — quoted after consultation

Minimum: There is a $30 minimum charge per order for small or single-service jobs.

Turnaround

  • Typical turnaround: 3–5 business days (unless otherwise discussed)
  • Rush service may be available for an added fee
  • Timing depends on season + workload

Tip: If you have an event date, mention it at booking so we can confirm feasibility.


Drop-Off & Appointment Types

Quick Drop-Off (10 minutes)

For clients who already know exactly what they need (example: “Hem these pants”). No fitting is performed. Measurements are taken later during scheduled studio time.

Alterations Appointment

Best for hemming, repairs, resizing, and fit adjustments that require an in-person review. Bring the shoes/undergarments you plan to wear (if applicable).

Custom Sewing Consultation

Required before any custom sewing/pattern project. We review the pattern, confirm sizing, discuss fabric + notions, and plan next steps to begin sewing.

Yes. Garments must be clean and free of strong odors. I do not accept unwashed or heavily soiled items.
No. Bridal gowns, wedding attire, and bridal-party services are not offered at this time.
Yes. A paid consultation is required before booking custom/pattern sewing. During the consult we confirm the pattern, sizing plan, fabric needs, timeline, and whether the project is a good fit.
Accepted: Major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, Google Pay.
Not accepted: Cash, checks, ACH transfers, or Cash App.
